Former Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Asha Frank is expected to be nominated as a candidate to contest the upcoming Barbuda Council Elections.
Frank who is a teacher by profession is expected to be nominated by the Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM), a party which has been long associated with her family and which was founded by her father, Mackenzie Frank.
She will go up against Andrae Lee who emerged winner on Sunday during a Primary vote by the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) to select a candidate.
The BPM requires five of the six seats to be contested on March 27th in order to take control of the council while the ABLP only needs two seats to retain control.
Nomination day will be tomorrow Wednesday 15thMarch
