Doctors at the Mount St John’s Medical Centre continue to see improvement in the condition of the Works and Housing Minister the Hon Eustace ‘Teco’ Lake.
According to Cabinet notes the Minister is continuing to improve and his blood pressure is near normal. The Cabinet was assured by the Minister of Health that his doctors give him a very fair chance of returning to his pre-crisis stage.
Government’s Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst told ZDK news that the Minister will be continually treated at the MSJMC until his strength returns before the decision is made to transport the Minister abroad for medical treatment.
He said that the doctors have been in constant communication with the Baptist University Hospital in Florida, which has an ongoing relationship with Antigua and Barbuda.
The minister was rushed to the hospital last Wednesday with kidney complications
Hurst said that Lake’s condition is being closely monitored with the expectation that the organs will recover.
