Lawmen are on high alert after three armed men robbed a Chinese restaurant at gunpoint on Wednesday Night.
Police reports detail that 3 men, who wore masks to disguise themselves, entered into the business place on All Saints Road demanding money from the employees.
Senior Sergeant Frankie Thomas, a police spokesperson, indicated that a female employee was shot in the arm after she attempted to brush off the masked assailants.
The wound, according to police was not life threatening, and the woman was treated and discharged from the Mount St John’s Medical Centre.
Police say that despite having little to no information on the appearance of the robbers, they are on high alert and are currently following different leads to bring the men to justice.
Just last week, another woman sustained gunshot wounds after a robbery attempt at her home in Cooks Hill.
The masked assailant fired a single shot and the bullet entered the woman’s right side and exited through her lower back, just shy of her spine.
Police are insisting that the general public pay closer attention to the security of their homes and businesses and are admonishing residents to report all suspicious persons or activities to the police without delay.
